There are seven ways to be more likeable at work, according to Inc.com:

  1. Call people by their own names, people like to hear their own names.

  2. Look for the positive in every situation. Pessimists don't win many friends

  3. Avoid competition when possible.

  4. Provide help; ask for less favors.

  5. Get in touch with people, communicate where you feel something is not right

  6. Get past the small talk; don't let a small issue drag on for too long.

  7. Be consistent; do your work consistently and correctly all the time
